After his instrumental studies, Grebtschenko studied composition and electronic music at the Freiburg University of Music with Cornelius Schwehr and Mesías Maiguashca. From 2004 to 2011 he was director of the newly founded studio for electronic and electroacoustic music at the Konstanz Music School. He is a lecturer in electronic composing at the Institute for New Music at the University of Music Freiburg and head of the studio for electronic music.
Concerts and guest courses have taken him to numerous European countries, as well as North and South America, Australia and China (Expo 2010 Shanghai). He received grants from the Donaueschingen Music Days, the state graduate funding in acoustics and from the Federal President. He received composition commissions from Ensemble Recherche, Duo Contour, Ensemble Alarm, Ensemble Chronophonie and arte / ZDF in collaboration with the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin (for the setting of the silent film “Arsenal”, USSR 1929).
